It's our last First Thursday event of 2010!

Come out and see us tonight! Curiousdoodle will be showing off these rad wood panels she made and I'll be showing off some of my new wares!

Mini Stickers!!

These mini stickers are fresh off the press today! While silk screening stickers may not seem the most prudent way to print them, it is at least the most fun. These stickers are 1.7" wide by 2.75" high. This allowed me to use an entire 8.5" x 11" sheet with no waste, getting 20 stickers per page! I printed two sets of 20, one in red and one in black for a total of 800 stickers!

I stepped up the setup at The Pull a few months back with the introduction of an exposure unit. So far I've been amazed at what a difference it makes in the level of detail I can pull off. This run was printed using a 230 mesh screen with a dual coat of emulsion, which was crucial for the very fine line and font details. As always, everything was printed using water based inks.

September First Thursday

While I won't be hosting a booth this first thursday, I will have stuff available for sale @ Tender Loving Empire. My Comic, Binary Robo Thank You Cards, and the Yarn Ball Inspired T-Shirt are on consignment and will be available during their last First Thursday event of 2009. So if you've been looking to check out some of my stuff in person, or get a peak at the book, come by Thursday night from 6 til 10 to check out some of the best local indy music and wares!

Stickers for first Thursday

I've been busy making extra stuff for First Thursday. Above is the pre-cut silkscreened sticker set I've been working on. There'll be a set of 3 ( Bird, Penguin & Monster) free with every shirt purchase... Sticker packs will be available by them selves for cheep cheep. I gotta cut this guys out tomorrow morning ( kinkos to the rescue)... Hope to see some of you tomorrow!

New Stuff Old Heart - First Thursday Showing

First Thursday Fail =(

Sadly, no sooner had we unloaded and started setting up our canopy when the weather decided to throw some nasty wind and rain at us. One of the crafters was injured when her canopy knocked her down. Unfortunately the spat of bad weather caused the curators to shut the event down... so... ummmm.... if anyone showed up, I am sorry. I'll be looking for a new event to launch the book and new shirts and am looking forward to the lil bit of unexpected extra time to finish up some works I had to set aside... Stay tuned for more info.

First Thursday - Teaser

This thursday, June 4th, 2009 I'll be teaming up with Curious Doodles and showing/selling wares a the Handmade NW First Thursday Event here in portland. There will be live music and a bunch of other vendors, like the good folks over at Tender Loving Empire, I'll be releasing the first installment of my comic "Cautionary Tales of Modern Failure", featuring the bloke above with a limited hand silkscreened cover. I'll also be issuing some new t-shirts and few other goodies time permitting.

So if you are out sampling all the free wine in the posh Pearl Galleries and wanna support local crafters in the Portland area come on over to Active Space parking lot on 17th and Lovejoy from 5pm till 10pm! Hope to see you there!
