Binary Thankyou Cards Make Etsy Front Page!
So I log on Etsy this morning to inform a couple buyers that I'll be shipping their goods when I notice my page views have spiked... I take a quick peek at CraftCult and find out that my "Beep You" binary robot thankyou cards were featured on the frontpage.... Ok so it was at 2am... still makes me smile... Here's the treasury from CraftCults Treasury Archive ( I tried using their embed code but it wouldn't actually render here =(...)

World Cup Coffee People
I've been practicing drawing people on the fly, in public and quick. Something that hasn't always been a big strength of mine. Most of my people drawing are composites of features I have stored up in my head of other people, not any one person specifically. The three folks above happened to have the misfortune of sitting in my eye range this past weekend. Note the Kool-Aid ® Man was not in the coffee shop, yet somehow ended up in the conversation and thusly on the page...Oh yeah.

It's always nice to get noticed! I've been placed in the "Comic Superhero Zine" Treasury over at Etsy. You can see my work and some other comic and comic inspired work here
Special thanks goes to Stockanette who included my book in her picks.
And of course if you'd like to actually get a hold of my comic you can purchase it through my site at Etsy.

T-Shirt Chomp
So I decided it was time to up-train my hand with silkscreening. Doing simple one color and even two color prints is easy stuff but not really. I'll be leaking class secrets and more about the class this weekend as I go through and clean up my notes. Above is a doodle of a rather large conveyer dryer that's used for curing the inks on your tee's.

Comic is now available via Etsy
"Cautionary Tales of Modern Failure Volume #1" is now available over at my Etsy shop. Each comic is 16 full color pages ( not including the cover) and the first 30ty copies feature a handmade screen printed cover ( by yours truly). The Cautionary Tales of Modern Failure comics are meant to give light to the stories and narratives behind many of my paintings and other seemingly one off works. This issues story is simply called Origins: A Creation Myth and is intended to provide a framework and feel for the rest of the series. Check'em out over at my shop!

First Thursday Fail =(
Sadly, no sooner had we unloaded and started setting up our canopy when the weather decided to throw some nasty wind and rain at us. One of the crafters was injured when her canopy knocked her down. Unfortunately the spat of bad weather caused the curators to shut the event down... so... ummmm.... if anyone showed up, I am sorry. I'll be looking for a new event to launch the book and new shirts and am looking forward to the lil bit of unexpected extra time to finish up some works I had to set aside... Stay tuned for more info.
