While I've Been pretty quiet on the blog lately, I've been busy this last month preparing artwork for digital prints. Each image was selected from my various series of illustrations over the past few years, carefully scanned at hi-rez and color corrected to match the original artwork as closely as possible. Then printed on 140lb French MuscleTone Paper using an archival ink Epson R2880 printer. I'm very excited to offer these prints in my etsy shop http://www.diskgrunt.etsy.com as of today!!!

The Explorer End of Year Update
As 2013 winds down, I'm excited to announce that my Explorer project is getting closer to a final form. I've been working out this piece since about April of last year, and over the past several months, I think I finally have the story I want to tell.
I decided to take a few moments and scan in some updated concept images to share, and I hope by the end of this week to have more finished work. I'm still debating on what that will be, and how to get there, but there will be a book, and there will be screen printing involved. More on that in the New Year! Till then, take a look ( and the new and the old if you haven't seen them) and let me know what you think.

The Explorer
I've been cranking away at sketches for a new concept, "The Explorer." I don't quite have the story worked out, or if it will even be a standard narrative, but I'm fascinated with the concept right now. I'm also not sure how I'll actually make the finished work, but for now I'm sketching with pencil, pen, ink and coloring with copic markers. Which I'm really enjoying working my ideas out with.
In case my scrawl is to messy, the text box under the title "The Explorer" says " I was searching for something, but I don't remember what... Did I already find it? Should I keep going?" As I continue to sort out the imagery and story, i'll update more.
As always, thanks for looking around.
